Liberia’s President Congratulates
Lebanon; Expresses Optimism Over Liberia-Lebanon Relations
Sunday, November 24, 2013: The President of the
Republic of Liberia, Her Excellency Mrs. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf has congratulated
the Government and People of the Republic of Lebanon on the joyous occasion commemorating the
70th Independence Anniversary of that country.
In her message to Lebanese President His
Excellency, Mr. Michel Suleiman, President Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia,
extended heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Government and People
of Lebanon.
While expressing joy over the occasion,
President Sirleaf hoped that the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation
subsisting between Liberia and Lebanon will be further strengthened.
The Liberian Leader expressed confidence that
the two Governments will work together in furtherance of the principles of the
United Nations aimed at promoting international peace, security and cooperation
among all nations.
President Sirleaf then prayed that the
Almighty Allah will endow President Suleiman with abundant wisdom and strength
as he leads his compatriots to greater prosperity.
