After several months
of planning and consultation, the management of Tmz Radio International would
like to inform the general public that the children broadcast hour (CBH) is
starting this summer. The program is intended to assist minority children
improve their reading, public speaking and socialization skills. The CBH will
also help children discuss their hopes and dreams and share information with
their peers.
We understand that the
rights to participation and expression are an integral part of growing up. Hence,
Tmz Radio management sees this as an opportunity to empower children by giving
them media skills and putting their voices on the air. This shows other
children that they, too, can have a voice. It also shows the world what young
people’s thoughts are about their lives and communities.
CBH will be aired every
Saturday from 9:00 a.m.-CST to 12:00 p.m. CST on Tmz Radio International and
repeated throughout the week. The program will target minority children between
the ages of 5 to 17 year old.
Due to the
overwhelming anticipation and support for this initiative, we are going to
accept applicants on a first come first serve basis. The expected amount of members
we presume to attend this summer through fall section is between 50–100.
Parents who are interested
in having their children participate on the children broadcast hour must
register on or before the deadline of June 15, 2014. The show starts Saturday,
June 21, 2014.
Registration fee is
$20.00 which includes snacks and pizza social after each broadcast. At the end
of the broadcast period each participant will be given a certificate of
participation.
We are also seeking
volunteers to assist our team during broadcast. If you are interested, please
forward a letter intending to join us at service@tmzwebradio.com or call
763-807-8689.
Sincerely,
Tmz Radio Management
