Tmz radio international, hosted Charles “Chucky” Taylor, son of ex-Liberian President and war crime convict Charles G. Taylor today on Issues in the Press Reloaded. The charismatic Chucky wasted no time in stating that he was wrongfully convicted and that his conviction was politically motivated.
Charles Taylor Jr.
is currently serving a 97 years jail sentence at the USP Big Sandy in Kentucky
from a landmark torture case that grew out of a US investigation into
arms trafficking in Liberia. Charles ''Chuckie''Taylor Jr. was convicted in October 2008 for leading a campaign of
torture against people opposed to his father's rule.
Although he wasn't charged
with killing any of them, his indictment alleged that he killed at least one of
seven victims. Charles spoke with Al. Jerome A. Chede on Issues in the Press
Reloaded in the first interview since his incarceration.
It's sad that he had to end up this way. This is a reminder that there are consequences for our actions.
