Devoid of police and toxicologist report, one can use inductive reasoning to reach a logical conclusion that Quincy B’s may have been under the influence of alcohol. By using multiple truthful premises, one can make a sound assumption that alcohol influenced the fatal crash. To arrive at such conclusion, one must first understand the effect of alcohol on a person’s body. According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, alcohol is a psychoactive drug that functions as a central nervous system depressant. Consuming alcohol affects the body in numerous ways. Some of the possible dangers of drinking involve falls, household accidents, and automobile accidents.
Quincy B seen in the club with a Guinness bottle
The video footage of Quincy B holding a glass with what appeared to be a hard liquor tells a logical mind that he was drinking (Practical assumption). There was another picture of Quincy B sitting near the bar counter with a bottle of Guinness Stout by his side. It is absurd for anyone to categorical denial that the musical sensation, Quincy, did not consume alcohol that night. Based on the sound physical evidence showing that Quincy came in contact with alcoholic beverages, the probability of him consuming alcohol is valid.

As noted by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, drinking largely alters mood, arousal, behavior, and neuropsychological functioning. The alcohol impairment chart states that one drink equals 1.5 ounces of 80 proof liquor (40% alcohol), while 12 ounces of beer is (4.5% alcohol). It is important to know that when a person drinks alcoholic beverages, the alcohol immediately enters the bloodstream and is then moved throughout the body. Alcohol consumption can also cause impulsive behavior, and impaired judgement. Quincy might weight about between 120 lbs to 140 lbs. Therefore, when one look closely at the alcohol impairment chart, one will realize that just one or two drinks would have rendered him impaired or intoxicated.
Nothing is degrading about being a victim of a fatal crash that was caused by intoxication. It is disturbing to know that some people do not want to consider the possibly that he may have been drunk remotely. The blatant denial and ridiculous blame games being peddled on social media is heartbreaking. Quincy B is gone, but we can do the right thing by educating others on the danger of drunk driving. Few week from now, we all will forget this young man. It is imperative that all well-meaning Liberians demand from the government of Liberia, and the legislatures comprehensive public safety policy to prevent or deter drunk driving. Let us uphold the legacy of Quincy B, by using his tragic accident as a teachable moment to educate others about the danger of drinking while intoxicated.
