George M. Weah, the man, widely known in his hometown as a philanthropist was busted early this week for running a fake children foundation from his home in Florida. According to multiple sources who wished to remain anonymous for fear of being attacked by supporters of Weah, the charity organization has done nothing to help the children it was created to serve.
Founded in 2004 with the intention to help underprivileged children in his country Liberia, the foundation currently has no office in Liberia or evidence of rendering assistance to children. It was also revealed to this paper that the organization is run by his Jamaican wife's family to conceal the misappropriation of funds donation by wealthy associates of Mr. Weah.
